Gun Control Lies In Action

Prime example.

Brady Buncher VP Dennis Henigan flubs on video. The Bradys erase all evidence of the video and anything associated with the video.

Some would call it "damage control."

No. This is called "hiding a lie."

Are you getting the picture yet, Dear Reader?

Are you seeing that the gun control movement is built on lies and deception?

Thought For The Day

"Gun Control? It's the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. If I'm a bad guy, I'm always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the trigger. We'll see who wins."

Denial of Reality

Spoken by a gun control advocate:
"I don’t care how many facts and figures you present, you are never going to change my mind."
Kinda scary if you think about it.

This is one example of the folks we have to deal with.

More Helmke Misdirection

Hey, kids! We'll get back to our friend Dennis in just a little bit.

Right now, it's time for more of Paul Helmke's Bullshit.

[cue über-happy theme music]

Here's the latest from Mr. Fabulous Paul
.

Now watch the second video on the post and you're treated to Brady sockpuppet Colin at various gun shows buying guns.

Now let's look closer at that video and point out a few things.

Ohio
This seller didn't look like a licensed dealer. More of a private party seller.

Minnesota
Again, looks to be another private party seller.

Virginia
Same thing.

Texas
Still another private party seller, this one a "retired school teacher."

Notice there are no licensed dealers being "featured" in the video. Colin himself says they bypassed the licensed dealers and went straight to the guys with no sign. This was meant, of course, to show the "scary" fact that those guys with no signs sold guns without a background check.

But they were private party sellers.

Private party sellers do not need to run background checks when selling a gun.

Colin also says that
No one's gonna ask you any questions.
Sorry, but that Ohio seller did ask questions.

As the video closes, Colin tells us about an America he wants to see and parrots the words of the Brady Campaign: "No background check, no sale."

Come on, Colin. (You, too, Paul.) Say it outright.

What you're really talking about is banning private party sales of firearms.

"Wait wait wait!" you say. "What's the deal with those private party sellers? Shouldn't they have to do background checks, too?"

We'll look at that in an upcoming post.

Local News Reports On Open Carry

Caught this report on open carry this morning. It's from one of our local TV stations.

Open Carry folks seem to be getting press in the Brady Bunch's poster child state.

The accompanying write-up is a bit longer than the segment I saw.

There's also this nice bit:
During his interview with KTVU on the subject of open carry, Sunnyvale Public Safety Captain Doug Moretto pointed out a department memorial for fallen officers who were gunned down.

"We have a difficult time understanding the point of this. What value does this bring to the community right now?" asked Capt. Doug Moretto.
Moretto clearly believes a law-abiding citizen with a gun is the same as a criminal with a gun. That law-abiding citizens with a gun will shoot a police officer.

Yeah. Right.

Capt. Moretto, your bigotry is showing.

The Truth About the "Gun Show Loophole"

We've talked about the gun show loophole before but I think it's time to get down to the true issue.

Private gun sales.

According to the Brady Campaign:
Our national policy should be: no background check, no gun, no excuses.
They might as well tell the public what they really want:

TO BAN ALL PRIVATE FIREARM SALES.

As one blogger points out:
there is nothing private about a sale that can only proceed with government monitoring and approval.
'Nuff said, I think.

So how about it Gun Control Folks?

Stop beating around the bush and hiding behind the bullshit about public safety and doing this for the kids. Tell the American Public what you really want when you talk about closing the "gun show loophole."

Ft.Hood: Another "Gun Free Zone"

We all know how effective those places are in deterring mass murders, right?

A telling line from Howard's piece:
Borsch notes that nearly all mass murders occur in places where law-abiding citizens are banned from possessing firearms, either by property owners or government regulation.
And yet the Brady Bunch and their ilk keep telling the public that those places actually work.

Meanwhile, determined gunmen freely walk into said places and mow several dozen people because said place work to keep them out.

??????

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

I call that insanity.

And We're Back...

The move was a PITA but it was needed and now it is done.

Back into the fray we go...
