I recently sold my 12-year-old .45-caliber Springfield 1911 Ultra-Compact V10 (yes, I got that sucker back in late 1999) and picked up a new pistol: the Smith & Wesson Sigma Series in .40-caliber.
Here she is:

I like her. Nice and comfortable in my hand.
And I don't mind the trigger. Really. Yeah, it feels way different from the Springfield. But I guess that's just SA vs. DAO. I know there are folks out there (I've read lots of forum comments) who hate the heavier trigger pull, but it really doesn't bother me.
No range time yet. But I'm planning on picking up a couple of boxes of ball ammo soon.
I'll let you know how it goes.
The one thing I'm still trying to get used to is having to dry-fire her in order to do a takedown. After coming from the 1911, it feels...odd.
And a little wrong.
Just takes time, I suppose.
